A Safe Place
I recently received an email from a spiritual teacher I know and in the subject line of the email it read: A call for inner-action in these interesting times.
Well, we cannot deny these are interesting times. The words “inner-action” drew me in. We have of late been called to march, to write our elected officials…basically “get a voice” and share it with the world. I think that’s great and I am 100% in favor of doing what you’ve been called to do. I am also a believer in doing the inner work.
All of us that have found The Cathedral of Light know this to be a safe place where all are accepted as the loving creations of the Divine. Our “sanctuary” is a designated safe place. It is also a time to develop that safe “sanctuary” space within ourselves.
Can we look at everyone as having a right to their opinion? Am I open to listening to that opinion regardless of how it may or may not contrast with my own beliefs?
How might I be kinder, more loving, and more accepting? I have set my intention for 2017 to be more of all the above! I will see myself as a safe place. Won’t you join me with your safe place? Oh, what a community we will share!
In light and love,
Rev. Jerri Williams, D. D.
