At the beginning of each new year there is a lot of talk about new year resolutions. They are most usually centered around weight loss, exercise, personal relationships and career changes. These are fine resolves that are usually committed to and often soon laid aside for old habit patterns that are more familiar and far more comfortable.

Recently in my readings of Dr. Wayne Dyer's new book, "There's a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem", I realized that greatest new year resolution I could make was to recognize that Spiritual Being that is my truth and live out of that awareness to the best of my ability. We are all Light Beings created by spirit as Spirit. The human body is created for this earth journey. It is not eternal. To give it the major part of our focus while here is missing the point of why we are here. The beauty we seek, the peace we pray for, the love we cry for is all within the Spirit of us. These gifts are changeless, they cannot be lost, the are of God, wondrous and infinite.

This new year perhaps we can resolve to live God's love and peace daily right where we are, inviting all around us through our words and actions to know this heaven on earth for themselves.
