Change, Embrace it!

Over the past months there has been much speculation about the year 2012 and the changes that are occurring. The Mayan calendar is ending. What will that mean to each of us? Visionaries such as Barbara Marx Hubbard, Neale Donald Walsch, and Deepak Chopra urge us to see the good in these changes and to embrace them in love. These same words are echoed by channelers such as Lee Carroll for Kryon and Jefferey Hoppe for Tobias and Crimson Circle.

We have the creative power within us to create our world the way we want it to b e. perhaps it is time to ask ourselves, “How do I want my world to look?” This is a time of transformation. A divine plan is unfolding for the highest and greatest good of all. We are each a part of that plan by choice.

In this lighter, clearer 5th dimensional energy we are beginning to release the old concepts of lack and limitation. The at-one-ment is at hand. Oneness with the Source of life and all creation is a concept much more acceptable today than the old belief in separation. Each of us on the planet today chose to be here to change the consciousness from fear to love. We want to end so much focus on the negative and to uplift ourselves, our beloved Mother Earth, and all humanity by seeing divine order taking place. 2012 is a time of transformation. It is a time to own our creative power. We can change the world. We are changing the world. Celebrate change. Embrace it, not only as good, but necessary for our spiritual and physical growth and the well being of our planet.

2012 – What’s it all about?

Since ancient times, the astronomers, mathematicians and scientists of the Mayan and other indigenous cultures have foreseen an event of astronomical and planetary alignment that will have a profound effect on all life on Earth. Many believe this event will happen in 2012. On December 21, 2012 to be exact. Carl Johan Calleman, an expert on the Mayan calendar states, “ we follow the broad perspective of the Mayan calendars, simply because the vast body of scientific evidence shows that the energies these calendars describe have been driving evolution in all of its aspects from the beginning of time.”

This date is also significant, astrologically, as our solar system will cross the galactic equator, on that date. This coincides with the completion of the 26,000-year Precession of the Equinoxes cycle. Connecting the ancient prophecies and the Mayan calendar with the precession of the equinoxes and the shifting of the ages has brought much speculation as to what will occur, and when. Most of the focus has been on the date December 21, 2012, yet there is wide acknowledgement among scientists, researchers, futurists, mystics, and indigenous elders that this event is not only about a specific date on the calendar, but rather a process of paradigm change, a consciousness shift, and the evolution of our human species and our world.

Our evolutionary history shows us that quantum transformations are Nature’s tradition and crisis always precedes these transformations. The problems themselves become evolutionary drivers! It isn’t survival of the fittest but those who learn how to cooperate the best that really survive. And every jump in our evolutionary history has been preceded by a crisis. That is the way nature works. The seas became overcrowded with one cell organisms and a transformation occurred when one of those creatures discovered photosynthesis and moved on land & began to breathe the oxygen that was a byproduct of the photosynthesis process. Jump up to the time of human evolution and we find that Homo Sapiens and Homo Neanderthal were living concurrently on Earth but Homo Sapiens were better at cooperation than the Neanderthals so they survived and the Neanderthals became extinct. Today we know that we are in the midst of crisis on this planet - global warming, population explosion, famines, financial breakdowns, etc, etc. And it seems Nature is also in the midst of another of her evolutionary jumps. Only this time there are humans around who are witnessing it and recognizing it and we’re not sure how to deal with it!

Personal Empowerment

In the New Testament we are reminded that “the power of the Father is within us.” It is that loving, creative power that Cathedral of Light, as a teaching church, is dedicated to helping all to remember. That is the focused energy of all our prayer work, counseling, classes, and the Sunday Celebration Service.

Through the study of the scriptures and current spiritual authors such as, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Eckhart Tolle, Marianne Williamson, Miguel Ruiz, and Neale Donald Walsch, seekers have become finders. Based on the teachings of Jesus many have been awakened to that inner power through studies of A Course In Miracles, the Way of Mastery, and the Urantia Book.

Metaphysical teacher-authors that continue to inspire our teachings are Dr. Ernest Holmes, founder of Religious Science, the Fillmores of Unity, Emma Curtis Hopkins and Mary Baker Eddy of Christian Science, Emerson, and the Tao. We have seen the effects on the lives of those who have chosen to change their lives by changing their thought and the feelings about those thoughts.

In the recognition that nothing outside us can affect us, we accept that it all comes from within. Life on earth is an experiential journey. As a child of God we have the power to embrace all situations in the truth that is true always. Love is all there is. We are consistently reminded of the power of CHOICE and the right to CHOOSE AGAIN. Through positive thinking and an attitude of gratitude the effects of personal empowerment are made visible.

Thank you, Father-Mother-God, for the gift of love that resides within all mankind. Help us to see clearly that all events are neutral, that we might see them in the light of the Christ and love ourselves no matter the experience we have called forth. Amen.
